The new trade fair centre directly located at Stuttgart airport offers special advantages for a modern metropolis fair. From the regional fair for Southern German at its beginning, the logistics and intralogistics fair is today known over the borders of the German-speaking neighbouring countries, such as Austria and Switzerland, and has more than lived up to its reputation as the biggest annual intralogistics fair in Europe. With over 15,000 visitors from Germany and abroad, an increase of 36 percent on the previous year, a record in visitor numbers was set at the 6th LogiMAT, which took place from 19 to 21 February in Stuttgart.
OM Germany used this event as a successful Kick off meeting for the new business year. In a giant parade before the fair main entrance, the heavy load diesel forklift truck OM XD 100 with 10 tons of load capacity could attract all visitors’ attention. On OM booth stand were exhibited 8 models of reliable forklift trucks: the new series XD/G 15-20 Diesel/LPG trucks with 1,5 - 2 t and XE of 13-20 electrical trucks with 1,3 - 2 t load capacity, which have just been launched. Their optimized equipments like electronic-technical assistants and the ergonomic and comfortable operator’s cab particularly impressed the visitors. The electric trucks powered with new AC engines bring high power ratings and allow a reduced maintenance cost. Visitors informed also themselves about forklifts with unique characteristics on the market which OM can offer. "From the first exhibition day on, our presentation of forklift and warehouse trucks attracted the buying interest of the visitors and resulted in firmed orders", comments Ralf Theiss, Branch Manager of OM Germany, who committed himself for the preparation of the fair as well as the Southern German OM dealers, Artos/Heilbronn, Huck/Baden Baden, Siegl/Munich, SSC/Nurnberg and Trafa/Stuttgart and the regional manager of Southern Germany Thomas Spiegel.
